FAQ
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Find answers by topic, from artwork and transparent backgrounds to production timing, garment suitability and aftercare.
ORDERS & PRICING
Is there a minimum order?
No. DTF printing can start from just one garment, making it suitable for samples, small orders and larger production runs.
Do you offer bulk discounts?
Yes. Pricing becomes more economical as quantity increases. Send us your garment type, print size, number of print positions and total quantity for an accurate quote.
Do you charge a setup fee?
There is no setup fee when print-ready artwork is supplied.
If your file needs background removal, redrawing, colour correction, resizing or other preparation, an artwork fee may apply. We will confirm any artwork charges before production.
Can I reorder the same design later?
Yes. We keep your approved artwork on file, so repeat orders are usually faster and easier.
ARTWORK & FILES
What artwork files should I send?
Vector files such as AI, EPS, PDF or SVG are preferred. A high-resolution PNG with a transparent background is also suitable for most DTF printing.
Please send the original artwork whenever possible. Screenshots, images copied from websites and files saved from social media are often too small or compressed for clean printing.
Does my artwork need a transparent background?
Yes, a transparent background is strongly recommended. PNG is usually the easiest format when your artwork does not have a background.
If your file contains a white box, coloured background or unwanted area, that background may be printed unless it is removed first. Printing a large solid background can also make the finished print feel heavier and less comfortable.
Can you remove the background or redraw my artwork?
Yes. We can remove simple backgrounds, clean up artwork or recreate a hand sketch, logo or low-resolution image as print-ready artwork.
Artwork preparation and redrawing are charged separately according to complexity. We will provide a price before starting the work.
What if my artwork is low resolution?
We will check your file before production and let you know if the quality is too low.
If you decide to proceed without improving or recreating the artwork, the final print will reflect the quality of the file supplied. Low-resolution artwork may appear soft, pixelated or uneven, and this is not considered a printing defect.
DTF PRINTING
What colours and designs can DTF print?
DTF can reproduce full-colour artwork, photographs, gradients, fine details and white ink. It is well suited to colourful logos and designs that would require many screens with traditional screen printing.
Very small text, extremely fine lines and subtle transparent effects may still need adjustment for the best result.
What garments can DTF be applied to?
DTF works on many cotton, polyester and blended garments, including T-shirts, hoodies, workwear, sportswear and tote bags.
Heat-sensitive, waterproof, coated or heavily textured materials may require testing before production.
How large can the print be?
Print size depends on the garment, print position and artwork proportions. We will recommend a suitable size after reviewing your design and garment.
Please note that artwork shown on a screen may appear larger or smaller than the final physical print. Always check and approve the stated print dimensions.
Will the printed colour match my screen exactly?
Screen colours and printed colours can look slightly different because monitors use RGB light, while printed artwork is reproduced with physical inks.
Garment colour, fabric texture and display settings can also affect how colours appear. Exact colour matching may require a physical sample or specific colour-matching service.
PRODUCTION & TURNAROUND
How long does production take?
Most DTF orders are completed within 5–10 business days after artwork, garment details and payment are approved.
Large orders, special garments, artwork preparation and stock availability may require additional time.
Can you complete urgent orders?
Where our production schedule allows, we will do our best to accommodate urgent deadlines. A rush fee may apply.
Please contact us as early as possible, as more notice gives us greater flexibility to meet your required date.
Will I receive an artwork proof before printing?
Yes. We can provide a digital proof showing the artwork, approximate size and print position before production.
Please carefully check spelling, colours, dimensions, placement and other details. Once the proof is approved and production begins, changes or reprints may be charged.
Can you print copyrighted logos or protected artwork?
We do not knowingly reproduce copyrighted artwork, trademarks, brand logos, characters or other protected material without permission.
By submitting artwork, you confirm that you own it or have permission to reproduce it. If protected artwork is supplied without our knowledge, the customer accepts responsibility for any claim, loss or legal issue arising from its use.
EOrigin Works reserves the right to refuse any artwork or order that may infringe intellectual property rights.
GARMENTS & CARE
Can I supply my own garments?
Yes. Customer-supplied garments are welcome if they are suitable for DTF printing.
Please provide a few extra garments for larger orders where possible. Although we take reasonable care, customer-supplied items are printed at the customer’s risk, particularly where replacements are unavailable.
How durable is DTF printing?
A correctly produced and applied DTF print is flexible, wash resistant and suitable for regular wear.
Durability depends on the garment, print size, application conditions and how the item is washed and dried.
How should I wash DTF garments?
Wash garments inside out using cold or warm water. Use a mild detergent, avoid bleach and do not dry-clean unless the garment label specifically allows it.
Tumble dry on low heat if required, or air dry for best longevity. Do not iron directly over the printed area.
What happens if I ignore the care instructions?
Excessive heat, bleach, harsh chemicals, direct ironing and repeated high-temperature drying can cause cracking, lifting, fading or premature wear.
Damage caused by incorrect washing, drying or ironing is not considered a production fault.
